Travel blog to the Nyamira falls πŸ“ΈπŸ”₯

On the 26th June,we decided to visit the Nyamira falls, somewhere in Nyamira county. The drive was around an hour and a half or less. At the beginning ,I was somehow a little paranoid, because this hike or rather adventure meant more to me than just a Safari. It was one of the way I was to celebrate end of my second decade πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.The excitement πŸ’ͺπŸ˜‚!!!!I can’t wait for my third decade πŸ”₯πŸ”₯Anyways,I will put together another blog for this.I had anticipated to take along a number of close friends, but the universe has its own way of doing things. I met other interesting sweet ,fun and funny personalities instead. No regrets at all!! If anything,I had the best pre-birthday ever.So we got to the farthest the van could get and ,I swear the heavens were in our favour because we got this little boys who were more than willing to guide us to and fro. None of us had an idea on how or where or which paths to take,so that was a lil bit of a miracle for me. Lets take it as the almighty did His thing. Our little tour guides were Clinton and Babu, they led us down some winding paths downhill,it took us roughly 30 minutes before we could here the sound of the waters falling. To cut the long story short,we got there and it was totally not what i had in mind. I promise you…Dallote and Marlon, the days couples πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺdecides to test* the depth of the waters. I was so scared for them, but the same time I thought they looked cute so mimi paleeeeeπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. I cheered them onπŸ˜‚Am good at this,(apologies to those that know me as silent, actually am not, niko na kelele na napenda kuchachisha).~scratch that~They went to and fro and they were safe so the other gang decided to do its thing. We could have gone up the stones, were it not that the stones were super slippery.Guess what though πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚!!!We went in fully dressed with no idea on how we will get dried up or what we would change in after the whole thing. This is where we would go with the saying, “acha tujibambe, kesi baadaye”.So yeah,we swam, went into the caves, took pictures and all there is to it. While we were at it,we saw this lady hurrying down the hill with a stone on one hand and a panga on the other. Personally,I was so ready to run. The facial expression on his face, the way she kept lifting and throwing stones as if weighing to see which would do the most damage and waving the panga.I was frightened ,no lie. I was asking myself ,what brought me here just to get killed. Well,Newborn our dearest saviour,(though with the way the wet clothes were sticking to his skin, looked like “panya imenyeshewa”)did his thing and went to tall to the lady. Some of us were already packing πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.He talked to her and it turns out, they own the land which the water falls,so she wanted some little bribe or ,in better words some”entrance fee”.So if you planning to have a visit that direction, have that in mind ,AND BE NICE.With the little we could raise amongst ourselves we got her laughing with us and even brought his dumb son to protect us from whatever .She told us of a number of incidences that happened .This is not meant to scare you,but anyways,do whatever you please with the information πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.As said earlier, the stones were super slippery and some girl slipped ,fell and died around there. There is a memorial stone down there for her. Sad 😩😩πŸ˜ͺ,I know😭.I didn’t think anyone went back into the waters after that,we just spread ourselves to try and dry as we took the little snacks we brought along and played some games. It was fun.We left the place at around 4pm and our little guides, led us to the road. We were grateful so much. Well ,it was quite a day, lets catch up on the next safari😊πŸ’ͺ
